Fnova floor drive portable pump, April 15, 2016
Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
I was curious as to how good this might be, so I took a chance and am pleasantly surprised. It is lightweight, pumps well and it screws on instead of the cam lock system. I like the idea of the screw on head since my old pump head shattered, being made of plastic and was quite old. It certainly seems up to the task of pumping up to 100lbs . The hose however is a little short but it is also small enough to fit in the bike rack trunk. I would also have liked a larger knurled head on the valve piece, but it is also easier to use than I thought it would be. I have only tried it on Schraeder valves but it is supposed to do both by turning the valve head a few turns and it stays in one piece, nothing to take apart and lose. Has an inline valve gauge but I haven’t checked the accuracy , but this is close enough. Update; the inline gauge reads in bar so do your conversions into psi. Had a flat today pump works well, except could use more knurling on the valve screw on area. Pivoting pin on handle started to work it’s way out , have to keep an eye on it. Parts at top and bottom are chrome plate but since it scrapes on the floor while pumping will soon show wear. Still a good purchase.

Feels sturdy and provides secure connection!, April 19, 2016
Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
I was worried about it fitting on my frame and getting in the way of the pedals while riding, but there is plenty of space. Also, having the screw connection is great. I had a force fit connection previously and it was horrible to get on and off (I would always end up hitting my knuckle on the frame or rotors when it finally released). This pump also fills the tube easily, especially with the handle, whether from 45 psi or from a flat. I normally pressurize my tires to 60psi and going from 30 to 60 psi only takes 2 minutes of pumping. Additionally, the base feels secure when pumping and the foot bar to hold the pump in place works well, but takes a some practice to get accustomed to.

Overall, for my needs this pump works great. Secure connection and less effort compared to smaller pumps.

Awesome Pump!, July 17, 2016
Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
Really nice quality pump and I can’t believe it was so inexpensive! I bought the Lezyne mini floor pump for the Mrs a while ago and I was about to pay 50 bucks for another until I came across this link.

If you want a pump you can actually use on the road with your higher pressure tires (I use 95psi in back and 85psi), you’ll want one of these portable floor pumps. It’s nearly impossible to pump your tire up to pressure on the side of a road/trail with a traditional pump. If you have Presta valves, you will end up breaking one off.

There were a decent amount of reviews from folks who were given this to test and I liked the fact that Fnova made them state that in the review. But still you have to wonder…so that’s why I’m writing this review. It’s a great little pump. I have had it for 6 months now and I find myself using it to top off my tires at home instead of my floor pump. So I’ve used it allot and as shown in the pict (just taken today) it’s holding up very well.

Pros:
The hose is flexible and threads onto your stem so you have 2 hands free to pump your tire on the road. I would not consider buying a pump that is not configured like this, especially if you have fragile Presta valves.
Foot rest, amazingly enough, works. It’s more of a big-toe rest but makes pumping much easier.
T-handle swivels and locks nicely into position. Makes pumping allot easier.
Cons: (These are not show stoppers..just minor annoyances)
The inline gage is nice..but just has arbitrary numbers not PSI. The first time you use it you’ll have to check with your gauge and see what number on the inline gauge is.
The bracket has a center velcro strap which doesn’t quite accommodate the hose. I tuck it behind my water bottle (Why did I get a white water bottle)
